Week # 21 – Take Initiative

Initiative is defined as an introductory act or step, leading action, readiness and ability in initiating action, one’s personal responsible decision to act on one’s own initiative.

This virtue was demonstrated quite well in my network marketing group this week as we all shared our readiness to initiate our plans as individuals and as a team in 2016.

An initiative was observed throughout the nursing home where I work, as well as in my therapy department. I saw people taking initiative in housekeeping, the kitchen, as staff prepared the residents food, the aids stepping forward to help another aid or resident in need and in my department as we took whatever action that was needed to prepare our residents to return home.

It was quite a rewarding week to observe this virtue and each day I could see it more and more. IT WAS AMAZING!!!

Week # 20 – Well Organized

This was an easy week to see how well organized a lot of people are. I observed this virtue at work, church, visiting family members and in my network marketing group. It was as simple as observing a well organized desk to planing and organizing personal and team goals for the year with my network marketing team in very specific details. I got a lot of great ideas during the week from seeing and hearing others share the great ideas that help them stay organized. I LOVE ORGANIZATION.

Keeping it short, tax season and for me I have to focus on Continuing Education Courses to keep my license.

I will persist until I succeed!

Week # 19 – “I Am Nature’s Greatest Miracle”

Another one of my favorite lines from The Greatest Salesman in the World, by Og Mandino.

“Although I am of the animal kingdom, animal rewards alone will not satisfy me. Within me burns a flame which has been passed from generations uncounted and its heat is a constant irritation to my spirit to become better than I am, and I will. I will fan this flame of dissatisfaction and proclaim my uniqueness to the world.”

Each day I am becoming more insightful, inspired and more amazing then I was the day before. I am growing in so many ways due to persistence and the transformations taking place in me because of my MKMMA experience. I Am Nature’s Greatest Miracle and I AM Amazing.

I alway keep my promises!

Week # 18 – “I Will Persist Until I Succeed”

I will admit that I was falling behind due to the fact that I am putting much more time into my MLM business. The MKMMA course has helped me change the way I view so much, even my business. Even though in the MKMMA course we don’t make New Year’s resolutions, my MLM team is, so I chose to be a part of that at least a little. So for this week and next week I am going to keep my blogs short. I’m going to blog about one of the most powerful lines for me from The Greatest Salesman in the World, by Og Mandino.

“I was not delivered unto this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny.”

So, even though I get caught up in the responsibilities of everyday living, I know that through persistence I will succeed.

I always keep my promises.

Week # 17 – Courage, Kindness and Enthusiasm

Courage, Kindness and Enthusiasm were my first three virtues from the Franklin Makeover.

I choose courage for my first week. Courage is defined as a quality of the mind that enables someone to face difficulty, danger or uncertainty. Courage was very obvious at the nursing home where I work. Residents in their 70s, 80s and 90s were doing their best to work towards their goals. Accomplishing them is their ticket home to their families or home alone. Simple things that the younger generations take for granted, such as getting out of bed, being able to stand or taking a few steps to a table takes a lot of courage. A lot of patience, encouragement and kindness from the staff helps them to achieve their goals.

In our second week, everyone from the MKMMA looked for and showed kindness to thousands of people. Kindness is a pleasant disposition, concern for others or a helpfulness towards someone in need. This virtue so far was the easiest for me. If I were to describe myself, I would say I was patient, loving, kind, dependable and helpful. Kindness was easy to share and easy to see in others throughout the week.

For my third week I choose ENTHUSIASM. Enthusiasm is defined as a strong excitement about something, an eagerness or a passion. This virtue was pretty much non-existent at work. I quickly realized early in the week that if I was going to hear any enthusiasm, it was going to come out of my mouth. Ninety-nine percent of the enthusiasm at work had to come from me, lol, sadly to say. I believe I did quite well, people probably never saw me so happy and excited. They were probably wondering what’s up with her, lol. It grew on me as the week went on.
